About Us
At CreaKids, every child is seen, heard and valued.

CreaKids is a recognised provider of high-quality Early Years education in Dubai. Originating in Norway, CreaKids is part of the much larger Laeringsverkstedet group.
Our nurseries are purpose built to provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children to thrive in their formative early years. We strongly believe, that our role as educators, is to ensure that we make the most important resource in the world thrive.
At CreaKids, we believe it is important that every child is seen, heard and valued. Through our purpose built, enabling environments we encourage exploration, critical thinking, hands-on learning and creativity, we strive to nurture well-rounded individuals.
CreaKids follows the Norwegian Curriculum, that our in-house pedagogues have tailored to the needs of our children from birth to 6 years of age. The curriculum consists of 6 areas of learning, all of which are developed through interactive play-based learning.
Our classes are led by highly qualified and experienced teachers and assistant teachers. We operate with a high adult-child ratio to maximise the attention provided to each child.
Our branches are located in Sustainable City and Akoya, Damac Hills. We invite you to visit our branches and explore our holistic learning environments. Our staff are always available and will be happy to answer any queries you may have. We understand that parents are a child’s primary educator and always encourage open communication at every stage of your child’s early learning journey.

The period of a child’s life, from birth – 8 years of age is the most important period of human development. Although we learn throughout our life, learning takes place during this phase, at a speed at which is unequalled later in life. It is for this reason that choosing the right early years’ experience for your child is so important.

Play is vital for young children as it allows them to gain essential knowledge and skills. For this reason, play opportunities and environments that promote play, exploration and hands-on learning play a critical role in building the foundations for a child’s future learning.
At CreaKids, we recognize the importance of play and work to ensure that we provide creative and engaging play opportunities for all children. Our aim is to encourage children to master skills and foster learning in ways that are both well planned for and also take advantage of incidental ‘in the moment’ opportunities.

Our learning environment has been created with children in mind – children are encouraged to make choices and become independent learners in safe and supported manner. Our well- resourced classrooms contain age and stage appropriate furniture and equipment for the children to use. We also believe it is important for them to learn how to look after the items that they use every day – so this is built into the learning that we do!
Children need time outdoors to play, explore and investigate. During the cooler months we always look at ways we can take the learning outdoors – this might mean free flow activities, exploring the community around us, going for nature walks or trips out that support our areas of learning.
The staff that we have within our settings are highly qualified and experienced – and know what engaging playful learning looks like. The team is constantly looking for ways that we can improve the learning that takes place and bring in exciting new ideas and concepts. A lot of time is spent reflecting on the children that we have in the classes and how we can best meet their needs, interests and challenge them.

Our curriculum is theme based – but we use broad themes, that allow the teachers to follow the children’s interests and take the learning wherever they wish to. This means that the children have more control over the learning that takes place, in an age and stage appropriate manner. Parents are an important part of the CreaKids community – we encourage communication and participation in all aspects of what we do. We actively encourage parents to regularly communicate with our staff team to ensure that we all have a good understanding of each child in our care. Communication is supported between home and nursery with our app – Educore. This is an excellent tool that we use to share information, photos and videos from your child’s time in the setting – it is password protected and means information comes straight to your mobile phone!

As part of the Learingsverkstedet group, we have the support of a team of Pedagogues that ensure that our curriculum is continually reviewed and updated so that we provide currency and quality in the curriculum that we deliver.
At our Nursery in The Sustainable City, our curriculum supports children from birth – 4 years of age, in Akoya our curriculum supports children from birth – 6 years.

Play Penny

Play Penny oversees all of the other characters in ensuring that everything we do – is ‘playful learning’. Play Penny likes to learn holistically with all of the other characters to ensure that children have exciting opportunities to explore, problem solve, be creative and enjoy learning.

We have two other characters that interact everyday with all of the characters:

Our 7 characters ensure that every child has a balanced and holistic learning journey with us. Our teachers plan to ensure that each child’s needs and interests are taken in to account – we also take advantage of all learning that happens ‘in the moment’. Our teachers are skilled at looking for and creating moments of discovery whenever the opportunity presents itself.

CreaKids Characters
Through our vibrant and educational CreaKids Characters, we highlight key academic focus areas, simplify concepts and demonstrate how subjects can be interdependent.

Rhyming Roger

Rhyming-Roger loves to rhyme and is always present when we are learning about language. He inspires and motivates children to play with language and adopt new words and phrases.

Woody Woo

Woody Woo is happy taking trips. He is keen to experience nature and the world around us with all of his senses, and he is wonder-struck over everything he sees and experiences. He asks many questions, which encourage children to think critically and encourage further exploration and fact finding.

Counting Connie

Counting Connie is our learning friend in Mathematics. Connie enjoys numbers – and counts everything that she sees around her. She counts forwards and backwards. She shows up when we have maths fun, and joins the other learning friends when there is opportunities for her to do so.

Colour Paletta

Colour Paletta is always present when we are being creative. She is fond of colours and talks to the children about different creative methods constantly. She enjoys getting messy, and finding new ways of creating art! She enjoys celebrating both the processes the children use as well as the end result!

Hearty Howard

Hearty Howard is keen to say many kind words to those he sees around him and those he spends time with. He enjoys holding hands, giving hugs and showing his friends the importance of being kind and caring with each other. He understands the importance of wellbeing and resilience and encourages children to be confident, caring and responsible.

Play Penny

Play Penny is full of life and fun and likes to work with the other characters to find engaging ways to play and learn. Playful learning is at the heart of everything that we do at CreaKids, and as such, Play Penny has a crucial role every day in making memorable learning experiences!

Jumping Jack

Jumping Jack helps in everyday activities, and he is moving all of the time! He encourages children to move in a variety of ways throughout the day – whether it is a ‘Dough Disco’ session, music and movement, running and skipping or moving items with chopsticks, he is keen to join in!
