About Us

At CreaKids, every child is seen, heard and valued.

As part of the Learingsverkstedet group, we have the support of a team of Pedagogues that ensure that our curriculum is continually reviewed and updated so that we provide currency and quality in the curriculum that we deliver.

At our CreaKids Nursery, our curriculum supports children from birth – 6 years of age. Children are separated in to classes based on their age, and in line with KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) guidance.

Our Learning Friends

Rhyming Roger

Rhyming Roger Revels in Reading Regularly – As he joins us, we explore different types of literacy and language; storytelling, phonics, building letters to wrods and words to sentences; singing and expressing ourselves as we start to read. He motivates children to experiment with mark making (prewriting), all while putting on their ‘listening ears’ and learning how to follow instructions.

Counting Connie

Counting Connie visits us as we learn, discover and wonder at mathematical relationships. She enjoys counting numbers – forwards and backwards and teaches us the importance of numbers in our environment. From developing an understanding about colour, shape, space, time, measure and numbers she often ask ‘why?’ and gets intrigued by the cause and effect.

Colour Paletta

Colour Paletta draws on the children’s imagination, creative thinking and enthusiasm to use different techniques, materials, tools and mediums as a form of self-expression. When she joins us, the children are encouraged to view, explore and understance the world around them by putting their ‘magic glasses’ on and freely creating through a variety of colours. She is particularly fond of loose parts play which paves way for unlimited learning opportunities including art, dram and music.

Hearty Howard

Meet Hearty Howard, our bright red, confident and super friendly representative of the Heart Programme, who actively promotes making positive relationships. He talks about gentle touch and kind hands and teaches us how to manage our emotions. Hearty explores and wonders on who we are (I), the importance of our friends (you) and the power we hold when we work together (we).

Jumping Jack

Look whose always on the go! Jumping Jack is a master of risky play and loves challenging the children to new and exciting play opportunities. He promotes an active and healthy lifestyle and helps children experience well being and joy through overcoming physical challenges. He loves active learning and accompanies the children in the outdoors as they run, roll, hop and climb and continues to develop their motor skills, balance, control and coordination.

Play Penny

Play Penny brings in focus the importance of play in early years. With her 6 arms she pulls together all her educational friends and make sure to shine through playful learning opportunities that they offer. She particularly enjoys role playing and guides her friends in making good choices. With her willingness and ‘give-it-a-go’ attitude she motivates hands on experiiental learning.

Woody Woo

The very adventurous Woody Woo is always on the lookout for experiences and opportunities to explore nature in all its diversity. With his handy magnifying glass, he closely observes natural elements in the world and communities around him. He celebrates and values culture and diversity and asks questions for the children to marvel and think about. Woody Woo brings together people, places and the influences of technology on them and promotes sustainability.

Our 7 characters ensure that every child has a balanced and holistic learning journey with us. Our teachers plan to ensure that each child’s needs and interests are taken in to account – we also take advantage of all learning that happens ‘in the moment’. Our teachers are skilled at looking for and creating moments of discovery whenever the opportunity presents itself.
